Wholesale Costume Club – review

Halloween is just around the corner and I’m so excited this year!  For the first time in years we’re living in an area with lots of kids, so we should have loads of Trick or Treater’s coming to our door, and Ashlyn is old enough that we may take her to a couple of our neighbours to show her off.

Of course, the best part of Halloween is picking out just the right Halloween costumes for everyone in the family!  I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of dressing up myself anymore, but my husband’s favourite holiday is Halloween so there is plenty of discussion about costumes as soon as the weather cools off.

I was thrilled when Wholesale Costume Club agreed to do a review here on Not Just Baby Brain.  I had so much fun browsing all of the different infant costumes that they have available.   You can look by size, age or category, or browse everything if you aren’t sure what you want yet!

While I love the standard animals/bugs that you can find at some of the bigger stores at the mall or even some grocery stores, I was hoping to find her something a little different, so she could stand out in the crowd.

I fell in love with the Pirate Princess Costume for Infant and ordered it in a size 12-18 months.  It just arrived and it fits perfectly! It’s great on its own, but there’s still room to put a layer or two underneath in case it’s cold on Halloween night (which I’m sure it will be in Canada!).

The costume is all one piece, which is perfect for a little one.  It also comes with the adorable hat that I cannot convince my daughter to keep on her head!  She’d much rather carry it around or try to put it on one of our cats.  I’m hoping we’ll have better luck when we’re trick or treating, or I may just turn it into her treat bag.  I washed the costume before putting it on her as directed by the tag (hand wash, hang to dry) and it came out perfectly.  I was worried that the belt would end up spotted but it dried without any issues.  I know that this pirate costume will end up in the dress-up trunk for lots of fun play after Halloween is over!

Awesome costume for a sweet girl! If you can just get her to say “Arrrrr” and curl her lip a little she’ll be a pretty wicked Pirate!
