Travelling with a toddler

It’s so much harder than travelling with a newborn!  I just realized that at this time last year, I was in Ontario visiting relatives and friends with my itty bitty 10 week old baby girl.  We flew, just the two of us, that she could meet her extended family since we were living across the country at the time.  I had the carseat, stroller, diaper bag and one suitcase and we did just fine!  That’s my little peanut chilling on the seat of the plane before takeoff last July.

Now we’re getting ready for a road trip with a toddler and oh my goodness, the stuff we need to pack!  Stroller, playpen, booster seat, bibs, snacks, books, toys for the car, toys for the beach, toys for the house, clothes, hats, shoes…and that’s just for her.  Thank goodness we’ve got the minivan because I don’t think we could fit all of this into our wagon.  When do we get to the “travelling light” stage again?

Um, at almost 5 1/2 years old, we still travel heavy. :)
No strollers, playpens, etc… but toys. Oh, the toys we have to bring EVERYWHERE.
