Our newest addition

On Wednesday, we brought our newest additon home. Introducing our new DSLR, the Nikon D90.

Photobucket

We got a 18-55 lens and a 70-200 lens, I think. I have a lot to learn!

We had a Nikon D300 last year that was tragically lost/stolen in Vegas last September (it still hurts to talk about it *sniff*) and it’s taken us a while to jump back on the DSLR bandwagon. I’m very excited to have one again and I’m even more excited that there are affordable classes in the area that I can take so that I’m not dependant on the “auto” settings! Thank goodness I’ve got one toddler and two cats who are (almost) always up for having their pictures taken. Now to start the Etsy search for a pretty camera strap…

oooooh, I'm drooling! You will have to keep us updated and let us know if you like it better than the D300. I want an SLR but can't for the life of me figure out which one to get. I am a Nikon girl though so I will be watching your blog in the hopes you will tell us more!

Yay! Thats the camera I have and LOVE it! I recently moved from the auto/AP modes to fully-manual, but it sure seemed to take a while. You will love this camera, I'm sure. You might want to pick up *one* more lens, Nikon's 50 mm 1.8 (its their cheaper version of the 50 mm). I just got mine a few weeks ago and LOVE this lens for how well it takes portraits.

    Congratulations!
I am still with my baby DSLR (the Nikon D-40) but it does so much that I am in no hurry to move up.
Besides, this was a gift, so the price was right!
