Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

2010 has been an amazing year for me and my family.  We were lucky enough to experience the Olympics first-hand in Vancouver; moved back across the country to Ontario in the spring and are now closer to our families, who we have been far away from for years; Ashlyn has gone from a baby to a toddler; I took my first trip to the Maritimes; and we’re expecting our second baby in a few months.  Not to mention all the fun I’ve had with this blog, of course! Frittata Ingredients: 4 Read more […]

Christmas cookies – Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles are my brothers favourite Christmas cookies, so I’ve been baking them for him for years.  They’re also great for mailing and for cookie exchanges because one recipe makes a TON!  I can’t wait until Ashlyn is old enough to help, I think she’ll really enjoy rolling the cookies in the cinnamon sugar mixture. This recipe says it makes about 80 cookies, but I’ve gotten closer to 100 before; it all depends on how big you want the cookies to be.  I like them to be bite sized so I make Read more […]
